We are currently looking for vacant director positions to be filled with our Board of Directors. Current vacancies include our Secretary position. We have five open vacancies currently and are looking at current members and new members interested in a position to contact us and set up an interview.
Persons willing to join our board should be familiar with email, Facebook, basic computer skills such as MS Word, Adobe PDF, and other platforms. Skilled IT persons and other more advanced skills are welcome. We do not pay any members of the board any salary or compensation for their volunteer time. Your volunteer work is for the love of trains, preservation, and passion for history. We ask those applying for Board positions to be with in 50 miles or so of St. Clair County unless your are personally willing to travel more.
A note to all potential board members, you will be required to pay for a background check if applying for a position on the board. This will be a nominal fee of $15. This fee covers the cost of us doing a background check with the State of Michigan.
We are always looking for new members and volunteers. We operate as a directorship with a Board of Directors. We are active with several events through out the year and offer private tours and research sessions by appointment only. Membership and volunteers are always needed.
